I knew it wouldn’t last, she was too good to be true. Tina Cervasio, Goddess of Red Sox Nation, broadcast icon of the 2007 World Series champions, has left NESN and woe unto us. She was the sparkle at the end of the day. The shine on many a dull road game. That rare combination of beauty and brains that made up for the sorrier aspects of NESN programming, like bad guitar intros, hammy dating shows and worst of all New Hampshire furniture store ads.
The torch will burn for her return.

Just once I’d like to hear a Presidential candidate or CNBC pundit slip up, and refer to a stimulus package, tax cut or spending bill as an effort to “stimulate the debt”; the War in Iraq, guaranteed Healthcare, Immigration Reform, all the wonderful things we want to hear, but now said-in the spirit of Washington-with a referential earmark, “stimulate the debt”. Otherwise, I am just mindlessly agreeing with everybody, Democrats, Republicans, and Dennis Kucinich. If however, this new phrase is included, then I will wonder about that mother-of-all subprime mortgages, the $9 Trillion National Debt.
Hmmm, maybe we shouldn’t build that water treatment facility in Mosul…

Unlike everyone else his age, the Republican Presidential dark horse is what he is. The un-medicated Mr. Paul will likely soon go the way of Dennis Kucinich, so stop and smell his laconic. After Superlicious Tuesday he will probably return to Congress, where we encourage him to bring his Unforgiven to the “Fat Roger” steroid hearings starting February 13th. “In the master chamber, they gather for their feast. They stab it with their steely knifes, but they just can’t kill the beast”. Something just shy of that would be fun for Valentines Day! The two Texans-one medicated, one not-can duel it out like cowboys.
We’d put our money on the wrath of Mr. Paul.
